Tanga Initiatives is making this vision a reality through the “Our Rights, Our Lives, Our Future (O3) Project,” empowering women and young people in the Bongo District of Ghana’s Upper East Region

Advocating for Women’s Rights
The O3 Project is an initiative to create safe spaces for women by promoting their rights and fostering gender mainstreaming at all leadership levels. From April 2023, we have collaborated with schools and the Department of Social Welfare to sensitize communities on women’s rights and the importance of gender equality.

Key Achievements

• Empowered young people to become advocates for equality.
• Reached 15 communities with awareness campaigns on women’s rights.
• Strengthened traditional leadership to incorporate gender-sensitive practices.
