We organize people and communities to enable them to collectively identify, prioritize and plan to solve their problems that ultimately leads to sustainable development.
We empower communities to improve their – physical, financial, human, social and environmental needs.
Good health is the foundation of development. Tanga Initiatives seeks to create access to health information and health care services. We provide information, advocacy and services in sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) for young people and women. Our organization provides education on SRHR through schools, community durbars and the mass media.

Nutrition Education
We provide nutrition education in schools, communities and health facilities. We also seek to implement nutrition interventions in schools for children under-5 years old and infectious disease prevention. use of postnatal care services by postpartum women of children under-5 years. We educate women on households nutrition.
Women empowerment
We seek to educate and advocate for women empowerment in communities. We advocate for women participation in leadership, entrepreneurship and household decision making processes. We educate women to control over issues that affect their health and personal development. We seek to make women take active part in decision making and be economically empowered.

Climate change
Protection of the natural environment is the responsibility of everyone to ensure human survival and that of future generations.
Tanga Initiatives is promoting climate-smart agriculture among farmers in rural communities to ensure that farmers develop resilience against the negative impact of climate change.
We work with farmer groups and co-operatives to grow crops during the dry season through irrigation.
